Dr. G. Uthayakumaran, M.E., Ph.D.
Dean
Dr. G. Uthayakumaran is an accomplished academic administrator and engineering professional with extensive experience in technical education, institutional development, student admissions, campus placements, academic administration, and industry–institution interaction.
He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, an M.E. in Metallurgy from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Welding Research Institute, BHEL, Tiruchirappalli.
He began his professional career with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchirappalli, gaining valuable industrial exposure before moving into higher education and academic administration.

He has played an active role in strengthening industry–institution relationships and campus recruitment.
Organized campus recruitment drives involving reputed organizations including Wipro, HCL, i-Flex Solutions, L&T and Perot Systems.
Conducted multiple campus recruitment programmes annually across institutions.
Contributed to achieving significant placement outcomes, with more than 60% student placement reported at institutions under his leadership.
Served as President of the Inter Engineering Placement Cell, a consortium of 22 engineering colleges in Tiruchirappalli, during 2004–2006.
