Shivani Engineering College Welcomes First-Year Students with Grand Induction Programme 2026–27

• Shivani Engineering College, a unit of Shivani Institutions, organized the First Year Induction Programme 2026–27 on 2 September 2026 at 10.00 a.m. at the College Auditorium, Trichy. The programme was organized to warmly welcome the newly admitted first-year B.E./B.Tech. students and their parents and to mark the beginning of their academic journey.

• The programme was presided over by Dr. P. Selvaraj, Chairman, Shivani Institutions. Mr. Dhinesh Khanna Ramalingam, Global Head – Customer Success, Zoho Corporation, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Prasanna Pichai, Senior Customer Success Specialist, Zoho Corporation, was the Guest of Honour.

Presidential Address

• Delivering the Presidential Address, Dr. P. Selvaraj, Chairman, Shivani Institutions, extended his warm wishes to all the newly admitted students and their parents. He emphasized that engineering education is not merely about acquiring a degree but about developing knowledge, skills, character, creativity and confidence.

• He encouraged students to make the best use of the opportunities available on campus and actively participate in academic, technical, cultural and co-curricular activities. He highlighted the importance of discipline, punctuality, hard work, teamwork and ethical values in shaping successful professionals.

• The Chairman also advised students to keep themselves updated with emerging technologies and changing industry requirements. He motivated them to develop a positive attitude, innovative thinking and a spirit of continuous learning, reminding them that every achievement begins with a clear goal and consistent effort.

• Addressing the parents, he expressed his gratitude for entrusting their children's education to Shivani Institutions and assured them of the institution's commitment to providing a supportive, safe and enriching learning environment.

Chief Guest Address

• The Chief Guest, Mr. Dhinesh Khanna Ramalingam, Global Head – Customer Success, Zoho Corporation, formally inaugurated the first-year B.E./B.Tech. classes and delivered an inspiring keynote address.

• He shared valuable insights into the expectations of the modern technology industry and encouraged students to look beyond textbooks and examinations. He stressed the importance of problem-solving ability, communication skills, teamwork, adaptability and practical knowledge.

• He motivated the young students to explore emerging technologies, learn continuously and develop the confidence to face real-world challenges. • Mr. Prasanna Pichai, Senior Customer Success Specialist, Zoho Corporation, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. In his address, he encouraged students to approach their college life with enthusiasm, curiosity and responsibility.

• The gathering was warmly welcomed by Er. S. Vigneshwaran, Secretary, Shivani Institutions.
