Shivani Engineering College organized a refreshing and interactive Laughter Yoga Session for the first-year students with the objective of promoting mental well-being, reducing stress, and enhancing overall happiness among students.
The session was conducted by Mr. T. Navaneethakumaran, a professional therapist from Maruthi Laughter Yoga Centre, Coimbatore. The program focused on the concept of Laughter Yoga, which combines intentional laughter with yogic breathing techniques to energize the body and calm the mind.
The session began with an introduction to laughter therapy, followed by engaging activities such as clapping exercises, simple movements, playful interactions, and guided yogic breathing (Pranayama). Students actively participated in childlike playful exercises including rhythmic movements, group laughter, and fun-based activities, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.
