Shivani Engineering College, Trichy, celebrated the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of India with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and grandeur.
The celebration was presided over by the Chairman of Shivani Institutions, Dr. P. Selvaraj, who hoisted the National Flag and inaugurated the celebrations. The Principal, Dr. K. Anand, delivered the welcome address.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. P. Selvaraj highlighted the significance of Independence Day and emphasized the importance of patriotism, unity, national responsibility, and the vital role of the younger generation in the development and progress of the nation.
As part of the celebrations, sweets were distributed to the teaching faculty, administrative staff, and students. The programme also featured vibrant cultural performances by the students, showcasing their patriotism, courage, creativity, and talents. The impressive performances were highly appreciated by everyone present.
The event was graced by the Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Principal, Registrar, Heads of various Departments, faculty members, administrative staff, and students from the NSS and Rotaract Clubs. Their active participation added significance and grandeur to the celebration.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Vice Principal, Dr. V. Balasubramaniam. The arrangements and coordination of the entire event were efficiently carried out by the Director of Physical Education, Mr. Vijay Prabhu.
The 80th Independence Day celebration concluded on a memorable note, filled with patriotism, unity, national pride, and the spirit of youth, reaffirming the commitment of the Shivani Engineering College community towards building a stronger and progressive India.
