Three days faculty development programme on Embedded System Design jointly organized by our college, ICTACT and National Instruments Bangalore was inaugurated by Mr.M.Rakesh kumar, Senior Applications Engineer, Vi Solutions, Bangalore on 09.12.2013.
Mr. M. Rakesh kumar in his inaugural address emphasized the need for industry institute interaction to bridge the gap between the academicia and the industry. Even though most of the engineering graduates are highly talented, now a days their employability level is very low as they are not able to apply their technical know hows in implementing the projects and as they are not able to venture in to innovation . He said that these types of Faculty Development Programmes will enable the faculty members to teach the subjects more application oriented so as to improve the employability level.
The Secretary Mr. S.Vigneswaran in his presidential address requested the faculties to update their knowledge through the Faculty Development Programmes and also by having personal interaction with Industry. He also said that the faculties should train the students to face the global challenges with practical applications and case study to make them Industry ready.
The Principal Dr. G.Ramadoss in his address stressed the need for the faculties to develop the Engineering graduates as holistic personalities to meet out the requirements of industries. Mr.SM. Soukath Ahamed, Relationship Manager, ICTACT spoke on the occasion.
Ms. Priya Sethuraman, Coordinator ICTACT Academy Chapter of Shivani College of Engineering and Technology welcomed the gathering and Ms.N.Karthika, Assistant Professor proposed the vote of thanks.
Participants from 30 Engineering Colleges from various parts of Tamilnadu attended the programme.
